Taking into Account the Structure of the Document in the Method of Automatic Annotation of Mathematical Concepts in Educational Texts

Konstantin Sergeevich Nikolaev
558-577
Abstract:

The enrichment of educational texts with semantic content (in particular, adding hyperlinks to the pages of the service that displays detailed information about concepts in the text) helps to increase the efficiency of students' assimilation of the material. The existing methods of semantic markup of educational texts do not take into account the structural features of such documents, which leads to excessive recognition of concepts. This article describes the development of the method of automatic annotation of mathematical concepts in educational mathematical texts by adding functionality to account for the structure of an educational document. The main purpose of the method is to process educational materials of the distance education course "Technology for solving planimetric problems". Following a single template when creating course pages allows you to apply an analysis of the web page markup and keywords used by the course creators. The main task in this process is to determine the type of table cell containing text fragments of educational materials. In accordance with the recommendations of the course creators, definitions should be highlighted in the cells containing the task statement, as well as in those blocks where the input data of the task is indicated. The type of table cells is determined by analyzing their attributes and searching for keywords in their contents. This limitation of recognizable text fragments will improve the student's perception of the course pages and improve the quality of learning.

Perspectives of Functional Programming of Parallel Computations

Lidia Vasiljevna Gorodnyaya
1090-1116
Abstract:

The article is devoted to the results of the analysis of modern trends in functional programming, considered as a metaparadigm for solving the problems of organizing parallel computations and multithreaded programs for multiprocessor complexes and distributed systems. Taking into account the multi-paradigm nature of parallel programming, the paradigm analysis of languages and functional programming systems is used. This makes it possible to reduce the complexity of the problems being solved by methods of decomposition of programs into autonomously developed components, to evaluate their similarities and differences. Consideration of such features is necessary when predicting the course of application processes, as well as when planning the study and organizing the development of programs. There is reason to believe that functional programming has the ability to improve programs performance. A variety of paradigmatic characteristics inherent in the preparation and debugging of long-lived parallel computing programs are shown.

Keywords: functional programming, paradigm decomposition, parallel computing, multi-paradigm programming languages.

Abstract: Floods were and are continuing to be a great threat to human properties, farms, agriculture, and households. To reduce the flood-related damage, we have to be able to reliably predict the flood dynamics, and the best way to do this is a computer simulation. Such simulational software must take into consideration many factors, such as the landscape qualities, human infrastructure, protective buildings, and more. In this paper, we try to systematize all those factors and create the software that will adhere to those requirements.

Maksim Vladimirovich Bobyr, Bogdan Andreevich Bondarenko
601-621
Abstract:

This paper presents a neuro-fuzzy algorithm for high-speed grayscale image segmentation based on a modified defuzzification method using triangular membership functions. The aim of the study is to analyze the effect of simplifying the defuzzification formula on the accuracy and contrast of object selection. The proposed approach includes adaptive learning of the weight coefficient, which allows dynamically adjusting the defuzzification process depending on the target values. The paper compares the basic method of averaging membership values and a modified version taking into account nonlinear weights. Experiments conducted on 1024x720 images demonstrate that the developed algorithm provides high segmentation accuracy and improved object contrast with minimal computational costs. The results confirm the superiority of the proposed method over traditional approaches, emphasizing the prospects for applying artificial intelligence in computer vision problems.

Steel Defects Analysis Using CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks)

Rodion Dmitrievich Gaskarov, Alexey Mikhailovich Biryukov, Alexey Fedorovich Nikonov, Daniil Vladislavovich Agniashvili, Danil Aydarovich Khayrislamov
1155-1171
Abstract:

Steel is one of the most important bulk materials these days. It is used almost everywhere - from medicine to industry. Detecting this material's defects is one of the most challenging problems for industries worldwide. This process is also manual and time-consuming. Through this study we tried to automate this process. A convolutional neural network model UNet was used for this task for more accurate segmentation with less training image data set for our model. The essence of this NN (neural network) is in step-by-step convolution of every image (encoding) and then stretching them to initial resolution, consequently getting a mask of an image with various classes on it. The foremost modification is changing an input image's size to 128x800 px resolution (original images in dataset are 256x1600 px) because of GPU memory size's limitation. Secondly, we used ResNet34 CNN (convolutional neural network) as encoder, which was pre-trained on ImageNet1000 dataset with modified output layer - it shows 4 layers instead of 34. After running tests of this model, we obtained 92.7% accuracy using images of hot-rolled steel sheets.

Keywords: CNN, neural networks, steel, machine learning, AI, Unet, ResNet, defects detection, segmentation, classification.

Irina Leonidovna Artemieva, Alina Evgenevna Chusova
719-737
Abstract:

The report presents the software package that will allow specialists in the field of architectural acoustics to choose the most appropriate methods for modeling sound and selecting finishing materials depending on the tasks and parameters of a building A distinctive feature of this system is the presence of an ontology of the subject area that describes the terms and relationships between concepts, as well as modules for solving various problems in the field of architectural acoustics. Such an approach will allow the user to recommend the most suitable simulation methods for one’s request due to considering the specifics of the premises and the functional requirements of the client. The on-demand software system allows to optimize and parallelize programs written in a domain-specific programming language. The paper describes the principles of source code analysis to identify critical areas and modify them using a bank of patterns. The report also discusses an approach to develop a domain-specific programming language based on domain ontology, ODSL (Ontology-Based Domain-Specific Language), which allows specialists to describe algorithms not accounting for different specific optimization and parallelization methods. The novelty of the work lies in the proposed architecture of modules based on applied ontology, which makes it possible to adapt the solution to other subject areas.

Keywords: ontology, architectural acoustics, optimization, parallelism, ODSL.

Temperature Distribution at the Border Astenosphere–Lithosphere (Mathematical Model)

Alexander Naumovich Chetyrbotsky
376-401
Abstract:

The convection of matter in the Earth's upper mantle is considered, which in the Oberbeck–Boussinesq approximation is due to thermogravitational differentiation. Within the framework of this approximation, a 2-D numerical simulation of convective flows of the medium matter was performed. The equation for temperature follows from the entropy balance relation, where, due to taking into account the variable viscosity in the system, there is an effect of energy dissipation. The boundary conditions correspond to the assignment of the temperature generally accepted at the boundary of the upper and lower mantles, and for the lateral boundaries - their thermal insulation. At the asthenosphere–lithosphere boundary, assumptions were made that the heat dynamics is determined by its flow from the asthenosphere layer closest to the boundary, part of the heat dissipation along the boundary, and heat consumption for melting the lithosphere matter. Numerical solution of the constitutive equations is carried out in variables stream function - vorticity. An iterative scheme for their solution is given. The issues of software implementation of the numerical simulation apparatus are discussed. It is shown that under such boundary conditions, a quasi-periodic regime of heat oscillations is formed in the system under consideration.

Keywords: asthenosphere, Oberbeck–Boussinesq approximation, mantle convection, boundary conditions, numerical algorithm.

The Typology of Cooperative Mechanics in Multiplayer Videogames

Danil Azatovich Khamatnurov, Aleksey Vitalevich Shubin
328-345
Abstract:

Cooperative mechanics of multiplayer video games are typified. Cooperative game mechanics are the key elements of gameplay design that determine the ways of interaction between players in cooperative gameplay. Existing research in this area is analyzed and the main principles influencing the success of cooperative interaction are identified. Eight types of cooperative mechanics were identified and classified: cooperative, cooperative-emergent, altruistic, socio-economic, complementary, simultaneous control, penalty, and chain mechanics.

The authors concluded that successful cooperative mechanics are built on the principles of complementary roles, the combination of different abilities, and the need to distribute tasks for the sake of achieving a common goal. The proposed classification contributes to the systematization of knowledge in the field of game design and can be useful for developers of multiplayer video games. In the future, the classification can be refined and expanded taking into account the evolution of the industry and the emergence of new forms of cooperation.

Keywords: cooperative mechanics, multiplayer video games, game design, classification.

Process Approach and Construction of the Database for Non-Core Asset Management in Credit Organizations

Marat Khaidarovich Shakirov
710-753
Abstract:

A method for building end-to-end management accounting in a division of the Bank’s subdevision specializing in working with non-core assets is proposed. Has been proposed the process approach, an algorithm for building a database for the formation of key performance and control indicators.

Has been described the key stages of the department's work, the attribute composition of entities (set) arriving, enriched and transmitted at each stage of the department's work. By modeling the process has been built a role model, access and editing rights for employees. Data sources (reference books) for optimization and unification of the process of filling the database (tuple) are proposed. A method of accessing the database in the Power Query Microsoft Excel add-in is proposed, which allows you to collect data from files of all basic data types, process and refine the received data. In the interactive programming environment Jupyter Notebook, mathematical and financial models for data analysis (logistic regression, decision tree and discounted cash flow method) were built based on data in order to predict costs, the timing of asset exposure and make a decision on the optimal cost of putting property on the Bank's balance sheet and selling price. Based on ready-made libraries (matpotlib, seaborn, plotly), options for data visualization for management are proposed. Using the example of the Bank's division, the author describes the positive effects and opportunities that open up to the management of different levels in solving day-to-day tasks and planning the activities of the division. A technical task was proposed for the development of a showcase for the sale of non-core assets on the Bank's website as an environment for the accumulation of external data for making flexible management decisions.

Keywords: non-core assets, process approach, database, Power Query, data visualization, mathematical and financial methods of data analysis, regression analysis, decision tree, discounted cash flow method.

Linguistic Knowledge Graph “Turklang” for Creation of Tools for Teaching Turkic Languages

Ayrat Rafizovich Gatiatullin, Nikolai Arkadievich Prokopyev
251-265
Abstract:

This article presents elements of the linguistic knowledge graph “Turklang”, developed at the Institute of Applied Semiotics of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan and used as a basis for creating a number of linguistic resources and tools: the portal “Turkic Morpheme”, the electronic corpus of the Tatar language “Tugan Tel”, morphoanalyzer. Creating an educational environment requires subject-oriented knowledge graphs, for which methods of general and open graphs are not suitable. This paper describes linguistic knowledge graphs, which reflect, on the one hand, potential capabilities of Turkic languages, and on the other hand, examples of actual use in texts. Peculiarity of these knowledge graphs is that they contain linguistic units of different linguistic levels, and concepts corresponding to meanings of these linguistic units, which are built into the thesaurus of concepts. Structure of this knowledge graph allows to formulate the content of a training course, build an individual educational trajectory, as well as create tests and tools of automated answer grading as part of knowledge control when teaching Turkic languages. This makes it possible to subsequently develop, based on these graphs, training programs taking into account the structural and functional features of the Turkic languages, and also contributes to the implementation of individual goals of students.

Keywords: knowledge graph, knowledge base, linguistic resource, linguistic unit, low-resource languages, Turkic languages, web portal, e-learning, knowledge control, automated answer grading.
