“Computational Thinking” as a Main Competency in Modern Digital Education and Society

Timur Rasimovich Fayzrakhmanov
570-587
Abstract:

The incredible growth in the popularity of digital technologies and education has led to the emergence of “computational thinking”. The dramatic demand and popularization of this notion ignited the redesign of educational standards and the upsurge of literature on this subject. During the extensive literature review, we found that it is not always clear what computational thinking really is, what aspects it entails, and how to think about it in simple yet robust terms. In this paper, we have examined the meaning of this concept, its importance in modern digital education, and drawn an analogy between computational thinking and the skills of writing ordinary text to facilitate its reliable understanding.

Keywords: computational thinking, digital education, coding, programming, computer science, STEM.

Methodical and mathematical bases of logical-conceptual competence in the activities of modern teacherof mathematics and computer science

Vasily Ivanovich Gorbachev

Abstract: Along with the general subject, in the content of the logical-conceptual competence, the methodical and mathematical foundations of its formation are also singled out. In the object-mathematical plan, the methodical-mathematical adaptation of the psychological-didactic regularities of the formation of the system of subject-based subject knowledge is presented as a basic method. It is supplemented by specific methodical and mathematical patterns: the formation of abstract mathematical thinking and its components; structural formation of spatial and theoretical-spatial types of thinking; analysis of the system of mathematical knowledge in the content of the educational mathematical theory; integration of mathematical language, mathematical speech and mathematical thinking; conceptual-categorial integration of educational mathematical theories.
Keywords: subject competence of educational mathematical activity, content of logical-conceptual competence, methodical and mathematical foundations.

Digital Modeling for Scoping Review in Studying Intergenerational Cultural Congruence

Aisylu Munavirovna Ganieva
1057-1069
Abstract:

The aim of the work is to identify key topics in modern psychological research of cultural congruence using the method of thematic digital modeling of an array of scientific publications.

The modernity and significance of the conducted research is due to the growing importance of cultural congruence in the context of the digital transformation of society, which is changing the ways of socialization and interaction. Modern technologies require rethinking the psychological mechanisms of individual adaptation to the cultural environment, especially in childhood and adolescence. Despite the active study of this phenomenon, there is a noticeable shortage of research on the cultural congruence of adults. The use of digital modeling and artificial intelligence allows us to systematize knowledge and identify the structure of the thematic field with high accuracy. The obtained data opens up the prospect for further study of cultural congruence throughout the entire life cycle.

The thematic field review of cultural congruence research was conducted based on an analysis of digital archives comprising a curated collection of 112 scholarly publications on the topic. The review employed a topic modeling algorithm implemented in the Python programming language and leveraged digital platforms incorporating multimodal neural network–based tools (GigaChat, Qwen, DeepSeek). The data analysis yielded four distinct age groups that reflect the developmental specificity of cultural congruence manifestations: preschoolers, primary school–age children, adolescents, and adults.

Keywords: cultural congruence, psychological research, developmental psychology, topic modeling, scoping review.

Stem-Education in Modern School Within the Framework Of Design Activity in Natural Scientific Disciplines

Tamara Yur’Evna Gavrilova, Olga Grigor’Evna Ignatova
547-555
Abstract: The issue of STEM education in a modern school and methodological approaches to its implementation on the subjects of the natural science cycle as part of project activities are considered. An example of the stages of work on a project, a breakdown into subject areas, is given. Since STEM education involves not only gaining knowledge in individual subjects, but also putting them into practice, the key point in working on a project is practical application. Within the framework of the subject area of mathematics and computer science, this involves making calculations and presenting the final results using modern technical means. Thus, the subject of mathematics moves from the framework of academic knowledge to the framework of practical skills. In particular, the article provides an example of the formation of a student’s financial literacy as part of a project. STEM-training allows you to combine scientific methods, mathematical modeling, technological applications and engineering design. Thus, innovative critical thinking is formed, the opportunity and need for integrated training on topics within the framework of which active communication of students occurs and a new educational space is formed.
Keywords: STEM-education, project activities, teaching methods.

On Serious and Funny in Science (Based on Materials of Digital Libraries)

Yuri Evgenievich Polak
215-249
Abstract:

Digital libraries (DL) and archives accumulate gigantic volumes of various information. The goal of this work is, without trying to cover the immensity, to try, using a relatively small number of striking examples, to trace how issues of scientific creativity are reflected in DL; discuss and dispel stereotypical ideas about scientists as unsociable, pedantic formalists or eccentric, absent-minded persons; show how the peculiarities of their thought processes, combined with high intelligence, can cause misunderstanding in everyday life. At the same time, these qualities, combined with originality of thinking, sometimes turning into paradox, are manifested in non-standard approaches to problems, non-trivial solutions, and an ironic attitude towards the surrounding reality. As a result, along with serious results, unexpected associations and analogies; jokes, witticisms, and anecdotes are born. The paper provides examples of the creativity of scientists in the professional field, as well as works in such genres as science fiction, utopia, humor, and art song. Materials from 20+ electronic libraries were used.

Keywords: digital libraries, image of a scientist, scientific creativity, humor, art song.
