Abstract:

Currently, the major part of transmitted and stored data is unstructured, and the amount of unstructured data is growing rapidly each year, although it is hardly searchable, unqueryable, and its processing is not automated. At the same time, there is a growth of electronic document management systems. This paper proposes a solution for extracting data from paper documents considering their structure and layout based on document photos. By examining different approaches, including neural networks and plain algorithmic methods, we present their results and discuss them.

Keywords: neural networks, document structure.

Abstract: The Museum is located in the heart of the main building of KFU. This room has changed its purpose many times: after the October revolution it was used as a gym, in wartime it was a hostel for evacuated employees of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, later it served as a reading room of the Scientific library. Lobachevsky. The opening of the Museum was dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Kazan state University in 1979. The Museum is dedicated to the two-century history of the emergence, formation and development of Kazan University – from Imperial to Federal. The main section of the exhibition tells about scientific schools, outstanding researchers and discoveries that brought the Kazan University and its scientists worldwide fame. Much attention is paid to the famous students and graduates of the University: statesmen, scientists, culture, literature and art, sports. Among them, S. T. Aksakov, N. And. Lobachevsky, I. M. Simonov, A. M. Butlerov, L. N. Tolstoy, V. I. Ulyanov-Lenin, E. K. Zavoisky, A. E. Arbuzov, and others. The exhibition shows the role of advanced scientists and democratically minded Kazan students in the social and political life of Russia XIX-early XX centuries.in each section of the exhibition you can see the relics of the past and the present, which witnessed many events in the history of the University and the country. In addition to the main exhibition, the Museum includes a memorial complex: the Imperial hall and lecture hall of the faculty of law with the interior of the late XIX – early XX centuries, where as a students listened to lectures L. Tolstoy, V. Ulyanov and others. The report is devoted to the areas of cooperation between the Museum of History of Kazan University and the KFU Nikolay Lobachevsky Scientific Library in 2017-2019 years such as exhibition, cultural and educational activities to preserve and promote the university’s heritage.

Abstract:

A novel approach to supervised face generation using open-source generative models including StyleGAN2 and Ridge Regression is presented. A methodology that extends StyleGAN2 to control facial characteristics such as age, race, gender, facial expression, and hair attributes is developed, and an extensive dataset of human faces with attribute annotations is utilized. The faces were encoded in 256-dimensional latent space using the StyleGAN2 encoder, resulting in a set of characteristic latent codes. We applied the t-SNE algorithm to cluster these feature-based codes, demonstrated the ability to control face generation, and subsequently trained Ridge regression models for each dimension of the latent codes using the labeled features. When decoded using StyleGAN2, the resulting codes successfully reconstructed face images while maintaining the association with the input features. The developed approach provides an easy and efficient way to supervised face generation using existing generative models such as StyleGAN2, and opens up new possibilities for different application areas.

Abstract:

The developed educational projections, levels and prerequisites of the mathematical educational multilingual ontology OntoMathEdu are presented. Educational projection is viewed as the formalization of a certain system of subject training in mathematics. It is a subset of OntoMathEdu ontology concepts, which are structured at this stage of ontology development using two didactic relationships – educational level and prerequisites.

Educational levels are allocated on the basis of the teaching standards of the corresponding education system, the relation of prerequisites is determined by the sequence of the studied concepts in a particular education system.

The OntoMathEdu ontology defines two projections representing the educational systems of Russia and Great Britain. The algorithm for constructing an ontology through linking various projections allows it to be further replenished with new educational projections, which can later be used in the system of multilingual teaching of mathematics.

Keywords: ontology, mathematical education, planimetry, OntoMathEdu, educational projection, educational level, prerequisite.

Abstract: In this paper, we study the process of evaluating the psychological portrait of a human for the purposes of enhancing the human-machine communication in the frame of the anthropomorphic social agent. We understand “psychological portrait” as the current emotional state of the interlocutor, which is evident by their way of talking and their choice of words. By correctly identifying human’s emotional state, the machine can issue an appropriate response. Our study further describes how the emotional state can be examined and how a proper response should be formed.

Abstract:

For support of adaptive training and educational analytics in the intellectual learning systems, it is necessary to collect, process data on progress of the student and his various individual characteristics. It can be realized by means of the student model. The analysis of approaches to modeling of the student has shown that application of several types of models is an optimal solution, considering requirements to the learning system. Three approaches were chosen and united into one model: overlay, Bayesian network, error model. Use of overlay model allows to build individual trajectories of student training. Bayesian networks realize competence-based approach in training. The model of mistakes keeps track of wrong knowledge of the student and helps the student to correct them at early stages. The student model uniting in itself these approaches is more suitable for realization of the personalized training, allows to keep track of progress of the student according to various characteristics and also gives the chance to easily submit the card of subjects, knowledge, competence of the student of various areas in the form of the count that is quite convenient and clear representation.

Keywords: intellectual learning system, student model, competence, adaptive training, educational analytics, overlay model, Bayesian network, domain model.

Abstract: Floods were and are continuing to be a great threat to human properties, farms, agriculture, and households. To reduce the flood-related damage, we have to be able to reliably predict the flood dynamics, and the best way to do this is a computer simulation. Such simulational software must take into consideration many factors, such as the landscape qualities, human infrastructure, protective buildings, and more. In this paper, we try to systematize all those factors and create the software that will adhere to those requirements.

Abstract:

The paper discusses the use of machine learning mechanisms, natural language analysis and intellectual search in the field of jurisprudence. The main expected results are the methodology for applying text-based analytics and semantic natural language processing (NLP) algorithms in knowledge management cases in different types of legal practice. The obtained results can be applied in the field of education and knowledge management in a wider context, since the study lies at the union of jurisprudence, mathematical and computer linguistics.

Abstract: In this paper we describe an emotional human-machine interface as an anthropomorphic social agent which is able to comprehend emotions and react to emotional stimuli. We propose a neurobiologically inspired agent implementation that is based on mechanics of chemical and physiological processes within human brain. Implementation of model features simulation of neuromodulators such as dopamine, serotonin, and noradrenaline. Demonstration of emotions is achieved via combining aforementioned neuromodulators in different proportions. The Lȍvheim cube of emotions is used for this purpose. We also cover the topic of "uncanny valley" phenomenon. In conclusion of this paper we reached understanding of connection between mimics and motivation of individual. We have constructed realistic computation model which allows us to visualize agent's mimics in sync with his speech.
