Abstract:
The Fortuna visiva of Pompeii project aims at presenting the archaeological complex through a digital Archive of visual & written documents from its discovery in 1748 to the end of the Nineteenth century. It proposes an enriched perspective through the reconstruction of various representations of Pompeii in the past, defining a wider critical approach to its cultural identity today.
Keywords:
Given the original assumptions of the project, the Iconographic Sources bear a greater importance than the remaining two, which are targeted at the thorough analysis and the systematisation of the information contained in the graphic documents.
