Abstract: The article focuses on the experience of choice and connection of electronic-library systems in the Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University. The efficient use of the information resources is analyzed. The foundation of the electronic library, its aims and objectives, presented resources are described. The main emphasis is given to the reflection of the university intellectual products and students’ and teachers’ access to them.

Abstract: The article focuses on the problems of the research into the fund of foreign literature in the main library of the Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University and West European publications of the XVI-XVIII centuries as a part of it. Ways of introducing them into the scientific use and attracting students and teachers to the investigation of rare and valuable items are discussed. The process of dealing with some rare publications of this period is described.
