Algorithm for linking translated articles using authorship statistics

Александр Сергеевич Козицын, Сергей Александрович Афонин, Андрей Александрович Зензинов
494-505
Abstract: During the last decades scientometric techniques have been used for research activity stimulation. Number of published articles and number of their citation counts are among the most important scientometric parameters. In an automated environment, when the publications metadata is gathered from various sources, correct linking of original papers with their translations into different languages is extremely important. In the paper we show that the known text similarity measures are inefficient in the context of article linkage problem. We propose a method for semi-automatic article linkage using statistical data on authors publication activities only. This approach may be used for linking articles without training for the language of translation. The method was evaluated on real-world collection of publications metadata of ISTINA information system.

Abstract: Methods of the semantic documents parsing in digital control system of scientific collections, including electronic journals, offered. The methods of processing documents containing mathematical formulas and methods for the conversion of documents from the OpenXML-format in ТеХ-format considered. The search algorithm for the mathematical formulas in the collections of documents stored in OpenXML-format designed. The algorithm is implemented as online-service on platform science.tatarstan.

Refal on Server Side

Alexander Gusev
697-707
Abstract: This work is devoted to the description of the project of updating the technology of algorithmic language application created in the USSR in the 60s of the XX century by V. F. Turchin. The language was originally intended for various logical transformations primarily of text material. In practice, the scope was wider: machine translation, optimization and compilation of programs, proof of theorems, modeling of complex electronic circuits, solving a number of problems of artificial intelligence. The language now has a sufficient number of followers, mainly in scientific circles. The objective of the described project is to create a product that allows the use of Refal in modern mass applications and to expand the range of its potential users to the entire Internet. A survey of the community of users and developers of Refal was conducted in order to get an idea of the current state of Affairs, current implementations and ways of language development. Possible means of project implementation were considered. No information was received on similar developments under way.
Keywords: Refal, server-side computing, text processing, xml processing, artificial intelligence, meta-calculations.

Ontological approach in teaching geometry

Liliana Rafikovna Shakirova, Marina Victorovna Falileeva
465-473
Abstract: The translation of the school system of knowledge into a formal language to create an ontology of school educational mathematics showed that there are gaps indicating significant shortcomings in the design of the contents of the geometry course. A study among students of N.I. Lobachevsky Institute of mathematics and mechanics of KFU to determine the quality of understanding of generic concepts, graphic representations of geometric figures, the results of which showed the relationship between the problems in the presentation of the content of the school course of Plane geometry and the quality of students' knowledge.
Keywords: ontological approach, learning math, Plane geometry.

Study results for the detection of matching content using citation analysis

Вадим Николаевич Гуреев, Николай Алексеевич Мазов
322-331
Abstract:

Translated plagiarism has widely spread in a scientific world and posed a serious problem due to the challenges in its automatic detection. However, in the last five years some progress has been observed in this area. The authors of this paper, as well as foreign research team from several universities independently of each other proposed an approach to detect plagiarism based on citation analysis with search of initial source for analyzed suspected paper with the same or similar references. Developed methods of detection of illegal use of borrowed text successfully passed several tests. The report shows the results that we have obtained in the last four years.

Keywords: detection of matching content, translated plagiarism, plagiarism detection, citation analysis, bibliographic database.
