Graph Self-Transformation Model Based on the Operation of Change the End of the Edge

Igor Borisovich Burdonov
315-335
Abstract: We consider a distributed network whose topology is described by an undirected graph. The network itself can change its topology, using special “commands” provided by its nodes. The work proposes an extremely local atomic transformation acb of a change the end c of the edge ac, “moving” along the edge cb from vertex c to vertex b. As a result of this operation, the edge ac is removed, and the edge ab is added. Such a transformation is performed by a “command” from a common vertex c of two adjacent edges ac and cb. It is shown that from any tree you can get any other tree with the same set of vertices using only atomic transformations. If the degrees of the tree vertices are bounded by the number d (d 3), then the transformation does not violate this restriction. As an example of the purpose of such a transformation, the problems of maximizing and minimizing the Wiener index of a tree with a limited degree of vertices without changing the set of its vertices are considered. The Wiener index is the sum of pairwise distances between the vertices of a graph. The maximum Wiener index has a linear tree (a tree with two leaf vertices). For a root tree with a minimum Wiener index, its type and method for calculating the number of vertices in the branches of the neighbors of the root are determined. Two distributed algorithms are proposed: transforming a tree into a linear tree and transforming a linear tree into a tree with a minimum Wiener index. It is proved that both algorithms have complexity no higher than 2n–2, where n is the number of tree vertices. We also consider the transformation of arbitrary undirected graphs, in which there can be cycles, multiple edges and loops, without restricting the degree of the vertices. It is shown that any connected graph with n vertices can be transformed into any other connected graph with k vertices and the same number of edges in no more than 2(n+k)–2.

Library Network Communications: Trend of Modern Development

Julia Viktorovna Maslova
951-962
Abstract: Network forms of interaction are gaining momentum in the system of social society, today they are considered in a series of innovations, attributing a significant number of opportunities and advantages. In a modern information society, where information is spreading at a tremendous speed, it is impossible to imagine innovative processes without network interaction. Any organization always experiences shortages - resource, personnel, material and technical. Libraries are not an exception, therefore, the author of the article believes that the creation of various forms of network interaction will significantly increase the activity and prestige of each library in the network.

Formalization of Processes for Forming User Collections in the Digital Space of Scientific Knowledge

Nikolay Evgenvich Kalenov, Irina Nikolaevna Sobolevskaya, Aleksandr Nikolaevich Sotnikov
433-450
Abstract: The task of forming a digital space of scientific knowledge (DSSK) is analyzed in the paper. The difference of this concept from the general concept of the information space is considered. DSSK is presented as a set containing objects verified by the world scientific community. The form of a structured representation of the digital knowledge space is a semantic network, the basic organization principle of which is based on the classification system of objects and the subsequent construction of their hierarchy, in particular, according to the principle of inheritance. The classification of the objects that make up the content of the DSSK is introduced. A model of the central data collection system is proposed as a collection of disjoint sets containing digital images of real objects and their characteristics, which ensure the selection and visualization of objects in accordance with multi-aspect user requests. The concept of a user collection is defined, and a hierarchical classification of types of user collections is proposed. The use of the concepts of set theory in the construction of DSSK allows you to break down information into levels of detail and formalize the algorithms for processing user queries, which is illustrated by specific examples.

Abstract:

For support of adaptive training and educational analytics in the intellectual learning systems, it is necessary to collect, process data on progress of the student and his various individual characteristics. It can be realized by means of the student model. The analysis of approaches to modeling of the student has shown that application of several types of models is an optimal solution, considering requirements to the learning system. Three approaches were chosen and united into one model: overlay, Bayesian network, error model. Use of overlay model allows to build individual trajectories of student training. Bayesian networks realize competence-based approach in training. The model of mistakes keeps track of wrong knowledge of the student and helps the student to correct them at early stages. The student model uniting in itself these approaches is more suitable for realization of the personalized training, allows to keep track of progress of the student according to various characteristics and also gives the chance to easily submit the card of subjects, knowledge, competence of the student of various areas in the form of the count that is quite convenient and clear representation.

Means used for integration of catalogues in modern European EO infrastructures

И.В. Недолужко, О.О. Коробкова
Abstract: Catalogues are traditionally used as a basis for Earth observation (EO) data infrastructures, and enable informational support for large amount of data archived. Multiple Access Centre for Regional Satellite Monitoring of Environment FEB RAS focuses on using techniques, technologies and tools developed under European initiatives of creating global EO infrastructures to provide an access to informational and processing services for satellite data. A number of last year projects developed or promoted by European Space Agency (ESA) use service-oriented platform of SSE (Services Support Environment). This papers discusses some means used in these projects to create EO data catalogues, and integrate them into united distributed heterogeneous network. Experience of using this means in the Center is presented.

Abstract:

The effectiveness of the ImageNet diffusion model and CLIP models for image generation based on textual descriptions was investigated. Two experiments were conducted using various textual inputs and different parameters to determine the optimal settings for generating images from text descriptions. The results showed that while ImageNet performed well in generating images, CLIP demonstrated better alignment between textual prompts and relevant images. The obtained results highlight the high potential of combining these mentioned models for creating high-quality and contextually relevant images based on textual descriptions.

Publications of the XIX-XX Centuries about the Telegraph (Based on Materials from Electronic Libraries)

Yuri Evgenievich Polyak
1157-1183
Abstract:

The century before last saw revolutionary changes in the transmission of information. For the functioning of the optical telegraph, which appeared in the late 18th century, cumbersome towers were necessary for the line of sight of semaphore signals. A hundred years later, the length of telegraph lines was hundreds of thousands of kilometers. At the turn of the century, the first experiments with the use of wireless telegraph began. This is reflected in numerous brochures, books, periodicals of that time. After another hundred years, many of these materials have become publicly available thanks to the development of the Internet and electronic libraries; they are intensively viewed and posted online. The rapid growth in the number of digital libraries and their content made this paper possible. Its goal is to trace the evolution of technologies and processes of information transfer reflected in literature, using a wide variety of electronic libraries - from the ambitious projects of the Library of Congress or Google Books with their millions of digitized books to modest private collections. dedicated to local topics. Materials from more than 20 electronic libraries have been used.

Keywords: digital libraries, history of technology, optical telegraph, electromagnetic telegraph, trans-Atlantic cable, radio.
