Semantic Services of the Digital Ecosystem Ontomath for Mathematical Education

Olga Avenirovna Nevzorova, Evgeny Konstantinovich Lipachev, Konstantin Sergeevich Nikolaev
538-569
Abstract:

We present a set of semantic services developed by us to support the educational process in mathematics. The functionality of these services is based on the use of mathematical ontologies OntoMathEdu and OntoMathPRO. The ontology of professional mathematical knowledge OntoMathPRO is designed to classify and systematize the concepts of professional mathematics and includes several important areas of mathematics. Educational mathematical ontology OntoMathEdu systematically represents knowledge on the training course “Planimetry”. For the use of ontologies in educational applications, an approach to the design of prerequisite relations in these ontologies has been developed. To support mathematical education, we have developed: a service for semantic search by mathematical formulas, a service for semantic annotation of educational materials, a service for visualizing subgraphs of the OntoMathEdu ontology semantic network, a parallel formal/informal corpus of mathematical statements, a system for automatically generating test questions in mathematical disciplines.

We provide examples of successful application of the developed software tools.

The created software tools are built into the OntoMath digital ecosystem. This ecosystem implements the interaction of semantic services for managing mathematical knowledge.

Multitrading System Forecasts

Felix Osvaldovich Kasparinsky
897-1000
Abstract:

The article is devoted to the problem of forecasting trends in the prices of financial instruments on the Forex market. The methods of forming forecasts based on business cycle models and fractal self-organization of pricing are considered. Based on historical precedents of crises after 1812 and 1917, the terms of the 2015-2027 crisis are determined, the end of which coincides with the simultaneous end of the 200-year and 40-year trends. It is predicted that the point of technological singularity will be reached in 2039. The methods of integrating fundamental and technical analysis tools for forecasting global events that are absent from the economic calendar are developed. It is proposed to increase the efficiency of forecasting changes in prices of financial instruments using an analytical multitrading system designed to work with 6 strategies: long-term (8 months), medium-term (2 months), short-term (1.5 weeks and 1.5 days) and intraday (8 hours, 2 hours). The choice of strategy depends on the time that a trader is ready to use for analytical activities and control of open transactions, acceptable risks and expected profitability. For all strategies, a set of preferred currency pairs of Forex Club and FxPro brokers is established, recommendations for traders are given. The necessary and sufficient set of technical analysis indicators participating in the formation of a triple signal for positioning the starting point of the Regression Channel is determined, which allows automatic forecasting of tactical levels of the price change trend reversal in the interval of forming groups of 8 oscillations. A regulation has been developed for the creation, publication and verification of tactical forecasts of the duration and amplitude of price oscillations for all strategies and many financial instruments. Forecasts are published in the "Multitrading" channels and groups of the Telegram, Dzen and VKontakte network services. The forecasting tools are supposed to be used in the formation of multitrading system tactics.

Extraction Of Wikidata Knowledge For The Metadata Formation For Documents of Digital Mathematical Collections

Abstract:

Methods for creating digital mathematical collections that include unstructured sets of documents are presented. These sets contain materials from scientific conferences, as well as articles from the archives of mathematical journals of the "pre-digital" period.

Using the software tools of the metadata factory of the digital mathematical library Lobachevskii DML, a mandatory set of metadata for digital collection documents was formed. To refine and replenish the metadata sets, knowledge extraction methods from Wikidata were used.

To search Wikidata for information about digital collection documents and their authors, a system of SPARQL queries has been developed. A set of Wikidata entities is defined, which determine the features of the search, as well as the subsequent filtering of the results.

Methods for clarifying and supplementing the bibliographic references given in the articles are proposed. When forming the metadata of documents of retrocollections, a search was made in Wikidata for information about the years of life of the authors of articles, as well as URLs of web pages with information about articles and their authors. The results of the formation of several new digital collections of the Lobachevskii-DML digital library are presented.

Keywords: Wikidata, metadata, metadata factory, digital mathematical collection, retrodigitized mathematical collection, Digital Mathematical Libraries, Lobachevskii-DML.

International Virtual Observatory: 10 years after

О.Ю. Малков, О.Б. Длужневская, О.С. Бартунов, И.Ю. Золотухин
Abstract: International Virtual Observatory (IVO) is a collection of integrated astronomical data archives and software tools that utilize computer networks to create an environment in which research can be conducted. Several countries have initiated national virtual observatory programs that will combine existing databases from ground-based and orbiting observatories and make them easily accessible to researchers. As a result, data from all the world's major observatories will be available to all users and to the public. This is significant not only because of the immense volume of astronomical data but also because the data on stars and galaxies have been compiled from observations in a variety of wavelengths: optical, radio, infrared, gamma ray, X-ray and more. Each wavelength can provide different information about a celestial event or object, but also requires a special expertise to interpret. In a virtual observatory environment, all of this data is integrated so that it can be synthesized and used in a given study. The International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA) represents 17 international projects working in coordination to realize the essential technologies and interoperability standards necessary to create a new research infrastructure. Russian Virtual Observatory is one of the founders and important members of the IVOA. The International Virtual Observatory project was launched about ten years ago, and major IVO achievements in science and technology in recent years are discussed in this presentation. Standards for accessing large astronomical data sets were developed. Such data sets can accommodate the full range of wavelengths and observational techniques for all types of astronomical data: catalogues, images, spectra and time series. The described standards include standards for metadata, data formats, query language, etc. Services for the federation of massive, distributed data sets, regardless of the wavelength, resolution and type of data were developed. Effective mechanisms for publishing huge data sets and data products, as well as data analysis toolkits and services are provided. The services include source extraction, parameter measurements and classification from data bases, data mining from image, spectra and catalogue domains, multivariate statistical tools and multidimensional visualization techniques. Development of prototype VO services and capabilities implemented within the existing data centers, surveys and observatories are also discussed. We show that the VO has evolved beyond the demonstration level to become a real research tool. Scientific results based on end-to-end use of VO tools are discussed in the presentation.

Development of Methods and Software Tools for the Formation of a Digital Portrait of Students

Marat Albertovich Solntsev, Mikhail Mikhailovich Abramskiy
697-717
Abstract:

This paper considers the questions about the possibility of using data about the students presented in electronic form to build their digital portraits.  A set of characteristics necessary for its construction is proposed, a data model is designated.

Implemented tools for collecting data about students from social networks and other Internet resources. Algorithms for constructing a digital portrait are proposed. The application of machine learning algorithms for these tasks is illustrated. Examples of the use of digital portraits in education are given.

Keywords: social networks, data retrieval, personal portrait of user, education.
